The Role of the Church Regarding These Concerns

What should the role of the church be in dealing with the concerns about the economy and unconstitutional acts?

I have seen or heard of some churches that are consumed by it and constantly talk about it regularly in their worship services. I have seen or heard of other churches that do or say practically nothing.

I believe both of them to be extreme. Pastors are the under-shepherds of the flock. They are responsible for trying to protect them. They minister to God's people in other non spiritual matters, so why is encouraging and warning the congregation about the possible consequences of a possible economic collapse not part of that?

I'm not talking about doing this in the main worship service. I'm not talking about being consumed by it. But there could be many a Christian that will be upset with their pastors if nothing was said at all. if the church herself didn't prepare or teach them to prepare as families. Other classes or fellowships could be set up within the church at various times.

What do you think? Let's open this up for discussion!

In Christ's Grip,

Pester Brat
