According to USDebtClock.org, our national debt is over 17 Trillion 956 Billion Dollars and growing rapidly. That comes to over $56,000 per citizen and over $153,000 per taxpayer. And this does not even include the unfunded liabilities of Social Security, Medicare, and Prescription Drug program.

The Role of the Church Regarding These Concerns

What should the role of the church be in dealing with the concerns about the economy and unconstitutional acts?

I have seen or heard of some churches that are consumed by it and constantly talk about it regularly in their worship services. I have seen or heard of other churches that do or say practically nothing.

I believe both of them to be extreme. Pastors are the under-shepherds of the flock. They are responsible for trying to protect them. They minister to God's people in other non spiritual matters, so why is encouraging and warning the congregation about the possible consequences of a possible economic collapse not part of that?

I'm not talking about doing this in the main worship service. I'm not talking about being consumed by it. But there could be many a Christian that will be upset with their pastors if nothing was said at all. if the church herself didn't prepare or teach them to prepare as families. Other classes or fellowships could be set up within the church at various times.

What do you think? Let's open this up for discussion!

Welcome To Our New Blog

Greetings in Christ Fellow Christian Patriots:

Welcome the Blog home for the Fellowship of Concerned Christian Constitutional Patriots (FCCCP).

This is a place for members and guests to discuss issues about the economy and constitution from a Christian and Biblical perspective. All discussions are to be done with a Christ-like Spirit and respectfully with no profanity.

Anyone can make comments and only members can initiate posts. For now, members who would like to post something, please send it to me in the body of the email and I will post it unedited. If for some reason I don't think it should be posted, I will reply to you with the reason why and give you the opportunity to edit. I'm not trying to censor speech just for the sake of it, but I do want God to be glorified through this. Please keep in mind that other than what we believe and the mission & goals as outlined on our website, members and the founder may not necessarily agree with everything mentioned in such posts. Other than that, let's glorify God as we encourage, inform and warn the body of Christ and Americans in these United States.
