A Racist Faux

While I may have touched on the issue of racism a time or two in previous columns, because of the various problems, tragedies and abuses in recent years, I would like to devote this column to it. For the purpose of this column, I'm just going to use the "racism" term the way it is in society most of the time- interchangeably with words like color,  prejudice and discrimination.

Sadly, due to our sin cursed world (that's our fault), this is something that will always exist on this side of glory. There are things we have done and can continue to do to make it better, and I do believe our country has come a long way since the middle of the 19th century. And while this sin problem exists among all races, this column will just deal with the Black-White issue. 

One thing that social media helps with, is getting to know people somewhat that we wouldn't have without it. For me, this includes many Black Americans and Christians. I'm pleasantly surprised by how many White and Black Americans and Christians are in unity about the abuse of the term "racist" and exploitation of Black people. And if you don't know already, I am not Black. But as I've mentioned before, I've worked for several companies that had a predominately Black workforce. I was born in D.C. and lived in the D.C. Metro area for the first 39 years of my life. I also lived in the Birmingham Metro area for 7 years. By God's grace, I've never been accused by a Black American of being prejudiced or racist. God is no respecter of persons according to His word!

So let's go back in time to when the first Black President was elected. Many Americans were not in favor of him being President of the United States. Not because he was Black, but because of his liberal views. Liberals took advantage of the situation and promoted that if you disagreed with Obama's views, you were a racist. Jump 8 years into the future from there, and many liberals accuse Trump supporters of being white supremacists. Then there is the Black Lives Matter (BLM) organization. Did you now that many Black Americans have a problem with them? Of course "black lives matter." All lives matter! But exaggerating about what a racist really is is hurting the cause! Don't be a "racist faux."

Friends, neighbors, the earthly powers that be, especially the REAL Deep State, want to keep us divided. Divide and Conquer is their mantra. Yes, there will always be problems in this area as with other sins until the return of Christ. But I submit to you that the gubmint and lamestream media are promoting it and making more out of it than what it actually is. The very serious constitutional, economical, and southern border issues facing us cross racial lines in addition to religious, denominational, and political party lines. If the Lord tarries and there is either devastation or socialism, it wont matter what color you are. We need to be in unity and not stop falling for their trap. Remember, creation and the cross of Christ are the great equalizers. And if you don't like those terms, we all bleed red- unless you're a Vulcan ;-) :-).

 Liberty vs. Law and Order

The title above can be a tightrope at times, huh? We certainly need law and order in society- the right kind of law and order that is. Then there's this thing called the U.S. Constitution. No bills or laws passed, whether by Presidential Executive Order, Congress or a government agency, is supposed to violate the Constitution or interfere much with our God-given freedoms. If it does violate the Constitution, it's really supposed to be considered invalid, and States have a right to nullify it based on the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. And remember the Constitution is our governing authority in our country and time since we apply the Bible to it.

A recent example of this is when the Biden Administration and ATF decided to ban pistol braces and require registration for certain so called assault weapons. Just like that, with a stroke of a pen, millions of law abiding citizens became criminals as of June 1, 2023. Are you paying attention yet? Do you know the history of numerous countries that took guns away from their citizens. Have you ever read any quotes from the leaders of these countries and how they gradually get to the point of gun confiscation? Don't think it's ever going to happen in the good ole USA? Better think again. Thankfully the 2023 Assault Weapons Ban- Senate Bill S.25 hasn't gotten out of committee- yet. And as of time this sentence is being typed, the U.S. House just passed H.J. Res. 44 to repeal the pistol brace rule. But it has to pass the Senate, and there may not be enough votes to override a presidential veto. Maybe you're thinking "they can pass whatever they want, they ain't gettin nuthin" :-). Okay then Lone Ranger ;-). Look, we need to meet and talk and plan and prepare. We should not keep our heads in the sands of busy-ness and distraction. That's what "they" want, and so far it is working. We need to be proactive in several ways, and above all, pray! They are chipping away at our freedoms, and our children and grandchildren will likely be in a completely different country unless we take a stand NOW!

I would like to get this column in more newspapers, get on the radio, advertise, promote my weekly Gimme 5 video shorts, rent a place for us to meet monthly more or less, and focus on this full time. Are you in a place financially to help me? Is there a wealthy constitutional conservative out there willing to help? Don't you think what I'm writing about is worth it? Do you think it's all just going to go away? I'm no one special, but I have a pulse on what's going on, and the desire to stick my neck out and do it. If you're a business you can sponsor me. Some so called laws and orders are eroding our freedoms.

 I Have a Dream

To borrow the famous line by the late Martin Luther King Jr., I have a dream- that one day Christians will be in complete biblical unity. Impossible on this side of glory? Perhaps. Something that we will only see in Heaven? Indeed. But is it something we can be much better at on this side of glory? I believe so. I've had this goal through an online ministry for years. For years there have been illustrations and jokes about how there will not be departments in Heaven with Southern Baptists in one department, Free Will Baptists in another, Methodists in another, Pentecostals in another, etc, etc. Once in Heaven, that is only by grace through faith alone in the Person and Work of Christ alone, we will all know which teachings were right regarding such things as the mode and timing of Water Baptism, Church Government, End Times teaching, aspects of Christ's atonement, how a person is saved, and more- and be in full agreement. 

But what if there is a way to have much more biblical unity in this life? What if we can have more biblical unity in our towns and communities? What if there is a method of preaching and teaching to accomplish this seemingly lofty goal? Well there is, and I have seen it work. My goal is two fold: Of course it would glorify God more by having more biblical unity in the body of Christ. Notice I use the word "biblical" with "unity." I'm not talking about the world's or even many modern church's version of unity that usually says doctrine is not important. I'm talking about a unity that does not compromise the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God's word. But also because much more biblical unity would be a lot better and easier when our economy collapses or we lose our constitutional republic, or both. It starts with book/chapter/verse by verse expository preaching in the main worship service. Perhaps your pastor already preaches that way. Back in the day, it was the most popular preaching method. Topical preaching eventually took over, but verse by verse preaching has been growing again. Done right, book/chapter/verse by verse preaching can greatly reduce verses being taken out of context, which is why we have the various denominations, religions and cults. 

Imagine if you will having for example Christ's Church of North Vernon, Christ's Church of South Vernon, etc. Too unrealistic? Look, I know it's a dream. And I know that we would never be able to achieve perfect biblical unity in this life due to sin and pride. But we can do much better than we have been for the glory of God, andalso  help us if we lose our constitutional republic. You in?

Are You an Enemy of the State?- West Alabama Gazette 6/7/23

 Are You an Enemy of the State?

Hello friends, neighbors, patriots and fellow citizens. Two weeks ago I wrote a column about knowing your enemies. This time I would like to focus on one of those enemies (most Leftist Liberals in the Federal Government) and their thoughts about many of us- whether or not we're an enemy of the State. In this context, "State" is not an individual state like Alabama. It's the Government, whether Federal or State. If you are a Biblical Christian, Constitutionist, Trump Supporter, MAGA Voter, true Conservative, or non moderate non RINO (Republican In Name Only) Republican, you are most likely considered an enemy of the State. 

One such person, Stewart Rhodes, was just sentenced to 18 years in prison. Who in the world is he you might be thinking? Mr. Rhodes is the Founder of Oath Keepers. An organization created to encourage current and former military, police and first responders to follow and defend the Constitution of the United States. What was he guilty of? The official verdict was "Seditious Conspiracy" which is BS. Check out the video with Judge Andrew Napolitano on one of my Facebook pages." Rhodes wasn't even at the Jan. 6th Protest and didn't say anything wrong. Folks, remember, they raided a former president's home, and went after his aide Peter Navaro. They even went after the My Pillow guy Mike Lindell. We better wake up people! Me and you might be chump change right now, but think about where we are now and where this will lead. 

We should not relish in being an enemy of the State, but sadly that's what we need to be these days. "They" are scared of us, but not enough to keep them from pursuing their agenda. They will not rest until they get "our" guns to make their agenda much easier. And if you think just getting a Republican President back in will fix everything, you better think again. All it does is slow it down some- maybe. We need to stand our ground. There are things we can do in a non violent, Christ-like manner, and it is much more than voting every two years. We need to pressure our State, County, and City officials. We need to see who our constitutional oath keepers are and talk with those that seem squeamish about it. We need to talk to our police chiefs and sheriffs about what they would do if they are given unconstitutional orders. We need to meet as fellow patriots. I would like to return to monthly in-person services of the La-Fayette Constitutional Patriots if enough people are interested. I'm trying to do my part and reach out to get so many people out of their slumber. Will you join me? Help me with those 4 P's: Pray- Plan- Prepare- Politically Proactive. And I would be honored to be able to speak at your church or civic meeting.
